WBA COMMUNICATION
In effort to ensure that all members are receiving program information, the Waseca Basketball Association and coaches will be using Sports Engine as our primary form of communication for players and families.  Please ensure that your contact information is up to date on both your account and your players' account.

GRADES K-2 LEAGUE - Registration Closes 11/30/25
Saturday Mornings WBA will host practice basketball sessions at the Waseca High School Gymnasium for players grades K-2.  Registration cost is $25.00 per player, which includes a free WBA t-shirt along with the following practice sessions.  

8:30 AM - 9:30 AM - Girls - Grades K-2

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Boys - Grades K-2

3RD GRADE TRAVELING TEAM - Registration Closes 11/30/25

For a second year, the WBA will be offering a 3rd Grade traveling team.  It will not be a full season like other older grades but it will be more active than in past years.  3rd Grade will start their season the week December 8th and it will run through February with the hope that they practice twice per week and participate in two tournaments close to Waseca.  The purchase of a uniform will not be necessary.  The WBA will provide the 3rd Grade players with a uniform for their tournaments.  Registration cost is $75.00 per player, which includes practice sessions and participation in local tournaments. 

Save the Date: Third grade WBA players will participate in a halftime varsity basketball game on Friday, January 23rd, 2026. 

UNIFORMS (GRADES 4-8)
The WBA will use the same uniform as last year so if your child's uniform still fits from last year, you do not have to worry about purchasing another one this year.  Grades 4-8 are required to have a WBA approved uniform.  If your child is new to WBA this year, you will be required to purchase a full uniform that includes a jersey and shorts ($65 for both).  If your child was in WBA last year and you lost the uniform or it doesn't fit any longer, you will have the opportunity to purchase a new jersey ($40) and/or shorts ($25) if your child wants a new one.  Grades K-2 will be given a free t-shirt with their registration.  

UNIFORM FITTING (GRADES 4-8)
On Tuesday, October 14th we will have a uniform fitting night that is mandatory to attend if you order a jersey and/or shorts.  We will be available from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM at WIS.  You can show up with your son or daughter anytime during that time frame to get sized and choose a jersey number.  It will be a very quick process.  If your son or daughter is unable to attend, please make arrangements with their coach for sizes and jersey number.  

NEW SHOOTER SHIRT THIS YEAR (GRADES 3-8)
The WBA will have a new design for our shooter shirts this year!  You are given the option to personalize the back of your player's shooter shirt.  WBA recommends using your player's last name for this.  Shooter shirt sizes are Youth XS-XL and Adult S-4XL. The shooter shirt is not a required part of our uniform and is optional for an additional charge of $25.

All parents in Grades 4-8 are required to work one shift at the Waseca Basketball Association Boys and Girls Home Tournament.  Parents of boys will work at the boys' tournament and parents of girls will work at the girls' tournament.  Thank you for your continued support for the WBA!
